Abstract

The proliferation of smartphone usage among adolescents has raised significant concerns regarding excessive screen time and its impact on physical and mental health. This paper presents a concept paper of an innovative AI-powered mobile application designed to address the growing problem of smartphone addiction among the adolescents. This mobile application employs intelligent monitoring, automated application locking, activity tracking, and AI-based reminders to help parents guide their children toward healthier digital habits. The application features dual-parent control dashboards, customizable time limitations, and comprehensive website monitoring capabilities. By integrating parental oversight with AI-driven behavioural nudges, this mobile application aims to reduce screen time, prevent procrastination, improve academic performance, and support the mental and physical well-being of adolescents. This paper discusses the problem statement, core features, target market, competitive advantages, and alignment with United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-Being). This mobile application represents a significant contribution to digital well-being solutions, offering a comprehensive approach to managing adolescent online activities in an increasingly connected world.
